1,000 acres owned by Midcoast Regional Open Space District (MROSD). They lease from MROSD. Cattle grazing reduce wildfire risk, maintains healthy plants, mimics the nature of herds on grasslands.

Belted Galloway Heritage Cattle. They finish well on grass. They have marbled meat due to a double thick coat.

Llamas hangin’ with the grass fed cattle.

CHICKS! 800 x 2 chicken baby brooder areas. These are 4 days old. They will live here for 3 weeks. They are called Freedom Rangers. Doniga says it is the best tasting chicken in the world.

LAMBS! Sheep and cows can grass feed, but chickens and pigs need 20% more protein from grains.

CHICKENS! These are 5 weeks old.

Quince is entirely responsible for these Freedom Ranger chickens. They’re little green houses are moved every day so they can eat new rye grass.

Freedom Rangers ranging. The 1,600 chickens are harvested at 4lbs every 9 weeks. They are processed in Petaluma or Modesto.
