Join us for a Stitch ‘n Bitch at the M Stark Gallery in Half Moon Bay.
Featuring world-famous conceptual needlework artist Margaret Timbrell.
Saturday, July 13th 2024, 1:00pm – 4:00pm ~ FREE!!
Bring your fiber works in progress (quilts, needlepoint, embroidery, knitting, weaving, any & all textile- based work) to participate in a traditional social sewing circle.
We’ll talk about anything and everything including, but not limited to: revolution, pie recipes, and unicorns.

M Stark Gallery features Peninsula and Bay Area artists whose work evokes the
spirit of the West Coast and is in dialogue with contemporary fine art movements.
Road Trip! Coming from the North Bay, East Bay, or SF: Get an early start and take the scenic route along Highway 1 for a stunning view of the surf at Pacifica, Gray Whale Cove, Montara, Moss Beach, Princeton, El Granada, and Miramar. It only takes 2-3 more minutes and well worth it! Coming from the Peninsula or Santa Cruz: check 511.org for the best route. There is plentiful, free 12-hour street parking just one block east or west off Main Street.

Half Moon Bay’s historic downtown shopping district boasts dozens of charming shops. Don’t miss these unique shops:
- Abode, which has sourced many of the furnishings in the M Stark Gallery building’s two residences
- Garden Apothecary an outdoor nursery whose sister business Wildflower Farms designed our outdoor space
- If you spent your allowance on Haight Street as a teenager (or wanted to!) don’t miss Tokenz’s infinite selection of beads, crystals, incense, baubles, and more.
- Luz Luna Imports, a boutique offering handcrafted, fair trade goods by indigenous artisans from all over the world.
Families, don’t miss these spots:
- Half Moon Bay Coastside Farmers Market open Saturdays April-December, 9:00 A.M.-1:00 P.M. just a few blocks from the gallery.
- Bring your kid’s scooter/skateboard and helmet for a turn on the Wormhoundt-designed Half Moon Bay skate park. All ages/abilities share the space.
- Gulino Gelato for the best gelato we’ve ever tasted
- Half Moon Bay Bakery, a family business with excellent donuts and treats
- Half Moon Bay Feed and Fuel to visit the chickadees and bunnies
- Take a funny photo in front of the 1919 Half Moon Bay jailhouse and history museum
- Full Hearts Arcade has everything from Ms. Pac Man to air hockey. Most games are fifty cents. TIP: buy TOKENS not the plastic card you load with cash.
- Walk the California Coastal Trail between Poplar Beach parking lot and Francis Beach parking lot
- Bring your bikes (rent bikes at Straight Wheel Cycling or Bike Works) and ride the flat-as-a-pancake California Coastal Trail to Princeton-by-the Sea
- If you need a place to regroup and get organized, we suggest the Half Moon Bay Public Library, a stunning LEED Platinum building about one block from the gallery, open 7 days a week 10-5.
